MetalWorm appoints Professor Oguzhan Yilmaz as CEO

MetalWorm Additive Manufacturing Technologies Inc, a spin-off of Intecro Robotics Inc, based in Ankara, Türkiye, has appointed Prof Oguzhan Yilmaz as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Prof Yilmaz has been active in the advanced manufacturing sector since 2002. He has been involved in many international and national industrial and research projects on Additive Manufacturing, including Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), Directed Energy Deposition (DED), and the repair of aero-engine parts. Throughout his career, Prof Yilmaz has worked on the development of Additive Manufacturing systems including Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) and robotic Additive Manufacturing machines.

As well as teaching at Gazi University, Prof Yilmaz has served as the president of the Turkish Additive Manufacturing Association (TAMA) since January 2024 and has been a member of the Board of Trustees for Lokman Hekim Universitesi since 2023. Prof Yilmaz also works as Editor in Chief of the Journal of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Gazi University.
